This book is aimed at those people who are interested in knowing and learning everything related to the world of Art, especially Sculpture. We have all had a stage in our lives when, standing before a sculptural work, we felt overwhelmed by the impact it caused on us, but were incapable of describing or discovering what it was that made us feel such emotion. This is because we knew nothing about it-how it was made, with what materials, techniques, or tools, and above all, what it was about, who had made or commissioned it, and for what purpose. Well, in this book, the intention has been to unravel the entire process a sculpture undergoes: its classification within sculpture, the materials it is made of, the instruments used, the techniques, the finishes, the external appearance, the proportions, the expression, the forms, its origin, and the context in which it was made. With all this knowledge, we will be able to incorporate information about sculpture, in such a way that when facing any sculptural work, we end up discovering all the information and beauty locked inside a work of art that, apparently, is almost invisible to our eyes. The aim is to send a message about the need for its cultural and educational appreciation, to broaden its knowledge, to ensure the survival of one of the oldest and most interesting arts of human expression, the one that also speaks to us about the history of Humanity, and that is none other than Sculpture.
