The narrative framework of the book is the story of a young woman's struggle to escape an abusive marriage with the help of a former teacher-neighbor and her Rebbe, a Tzaddik, who gives her exact signs to find her soulmate. From the relationship between the two women, various discussions arise that expose the metaphysical explanation of various events in Israeli history and recognition that the Middle East Crisis is a religious-metaphysical issue and not merely a political one.
