Overview

It's kitten season in Cambridge, and the results can be murder. As a connection between Becca and that corpse is confirmed,Becca comes under suspicion- and is dragged into a cyberware scandal, thanks to her cheating ex, Jeff. The unfaithful computer geekand his high-power investor wereworking on stealth software designed to record and transmit personal data a new form of spyware that would be of interest to everyone from the police and security agencies to cybercriminals. And when Jeff's former friends and colleagues approach her, Becca finds the police aren't the only ones watching her. Meanwhile, Becca is sheltering the little tortie, who seems to have some powers of her own, much to the dismay of her three resident cats. Author Information

Before turning to a life of crime (fiction), Clea Simon was a journalist. Starting as a rock critic, she ended up writing about books and other arts. A native of New York, she came to Massachusetts to attend Harvard University, from which she graduated with high honors, and never left. The author of three nonfiction books and seven mysteries, she lives with her husband, the writer Jon S. Garelick, and their cat, Musetta in Somerville, MA. She is the author of three previous Witch Cats of Cambridge mysteries: A Spell of Murder, An Incantation of Cats and A Cat on the Case.
