Overview

A fictional novel about the exploits of a man named Charlie Meeks who gets caught up in cascading intrigue, one crazy adventure leading to another, all while hoping to attract the affection of a recently widowed old school acquaintance. Charlie Meeks is a security manager at a local high rise office tower. He is a former cop. He is a former signals ensign in the US Navy. He is very lonely in his life, such as it is, at 39 or 40 years of age...he doesn't like to focus on that. A chance meeting at a neighborhood funeral of an old grade school buddy eventually leads him halfway around the world mixed up in with the most unlikely and dangerous criminals from a land known for calm and order. Moving from one crazy situation to another, meeting one unbelievable person after another, not understanding just how big the problem is that he has stumbled into the middle of creates a story that moves at a pace that is hard to keep up with. Just when Charlie thinks he knows what's going on, the situation changes again! A true page turner.
