OverviewThis is the book for knitters who love lace. Add a girly, frilly look to your wardrobe with a lovely summer top and two luscious lace shawls. Stitch delicate lace runners to welcome friends and family to your table, including several pineapple designs. Knit a lacy lampshade cover and a soft, heirloom lap throw to add a romantic touch to your bedroom. If you are a beginning lace knitter, start with the easy coaster set. Then try your hand at creating a set of bookmarks or a table set of place mats and napkin rings, easy gifts to make for a friend. Once you start knitting lace you'll find yourself adding a bit of lace everywhere. A lace bread basket cover makes every meal special. A beautiful clutch will add a touch of romance to the evening. A small delicate candle mat will dress up an end table. Intermediate to advanced knitting skills are required for most projects, although an ambitious beginning knitter can start with the smaller, easy lace projects and quickly develop her skill as she knits the projects in the book.
