Author Information

Emma Bowd is an internationally published and award-winning author, and a dedicated literacy advocate. A former occupational therapist, she is passionate about writing inclusive picture books that capture the joy of childhood through imaginative and nature-based play. Her bestselling books The Day You Were Born (with Hilary Jean Tapper) and This Is My Happy Place (with Jen Khatun) followed her acclaimed debut, Wonderful Shoes (with Tania McCartney), which is a CBCA Notable Book and features on Play School Story Time. An in-demand speaker and story-time presenter at schools, libraries, bookshops and literature festivals, Emma is happiest filling her life with family, friends, nature, travel and, of course, books!
