OverviewAfter living in Hell for a year, I might have to amend the saying ""Hell is other people"" to ""Hell is other people's family."" Specifically, my dear demon husband's family, AKA my infernal in-laws. Even more specifically, Lucifer, my grandfather-in-law. In a revelation surprising exactly no one, Lucifer is a mean-spirited, nefarious, hateful mothertrucker, and for reasons beyond my control, I am bound to him with a vow of silence about a juicy secret he's been keeping--from Azazel, my beloved demonic spouse. Which puts me between a rock and a hard place, and I don't mean between the wall and Azazel's magnificently muscled torso. I'm notoriously bad at keeping secrets. Given the non-existent filter between my brain and my mouth, no one's more impressed than me that I haven't spilled the beans to Azazel yet. I can only credit the paralyzing fear of what Lucifer would do to me if I broke my vow. But I'm just barely keeping it together here. All it would take for me to crack is a crisis that short-circuits my brain and I'd probably sing like a canary. Thank goodness my life is boring AF and nothing ever happens here in Hell to throw me off kilter. Oh, wait . . . Contains mature themes. She has won multiple awards with her books, but alas, no annual supply of coffee yet. After majoring in subjects that were fun to study but less applicable for making a living with (Japanese, South Asian studies), Nadine has turned to fully indulging her weird fantasies that people actually pay her to write down. You can usually lure her out of her socially awkward shell by striking up a conversation about languages (keywords: Indo-European family; relation of Sanskrit to Ancient Greek) and watch her geek out for the next hour. She lives in Germany with her college sweetheart, beloved little demon spawn, and three infernal cats hellbent on cuddling her to death (Clarification: Her husband and kids prefer her alive. The cats, she's not so sure about.) When she's not writing, she can be found at the archery range, where shooting at things with sharp-tipped arrows has proven to be an excellent meditative practice. Lu Banks is no stranger to using her voice-first as a classically trained singer, sometimes as an historical interpreter, and always as a soother of children-and is thrilled to have made the transition from voracious audiobook listener to passionate audiobook narrator. As a narrator, Lu marries her life experiences as a mother, museum director, social services provider, and writer with a passion for bringing words to life with a voice that has been described as soothing, warm, and eminently comforting. When she's not locked in her tiny padded booth, Lu can be found outside in the forest, working tirelessly for social justice causes, cooking things she can't pronounce, and nurturing neighborhood kids and pets. Ryan Lee Dunlap is a New York City-based SAG-AFTRA voice actor and audiobook narrator specializing in romance. Originally hailing from North Carolina, he began studying acting after calling it quits with the music industry and began voice acting and narrating in 2021. He's been a gigantic fan of audiobooks since he had them on cassette as a kid, and to this day, he prefers to read with his ears. Tab Content 6Author Website:Countries AvailableAll regions |
