Author Information

Tadeusz Skorupski was born in France in 1945 and raised in Poland. After receiving several degrees in Philosophy and Theology at different universities in Poland, Canada and Italy, he embarked on Oriental Studies in 1972 at the School of Oriental and African Studies, Univ. London. In 1978, he was awarded a Ph.D. degree in Sanskrit and Tibetan Buddhist Literature. During the period 1978-1982 he was employed as a Research Fellow at SOAS, where he has continued to teach. He is an author of numerous articles and books on Tibetan Culture. At the present he pursues further research into Tibetan Buddhism in association with the Institute of Tibetan Studies, Tring, U.K., sponsored by the British Academy.
