About the Author Wesley James Philpot was born in April 1968 in Hackney, East London. At a young age Wesley became ill and spent much of his teenage years in and out of institutions. More recently Wesley has been studying for a degree in IT but his continuing mental illness has made learning new skills incredibly difficult. He is now a full time carer, caring for his disabled wife and lives in Poole, Dorset. In September 2004 Wesley suffered from a heart attack, he is now recovering well but finds that his forever fragile mind makes recovery a lot more demanding.
