Overview

In the 1960s Midwest, Barbara Wilson is an enthusiastic music director at her Catholic Church on Eastern Michigan University's campus. In addition to her religious teachings, both her parents reinforced the importance of honesty and integrity above all else. When she reports a close friend suspected of lesbianism, the girl is expelled and Barbara feels conflicted. Two decades later on California's Central Coast, Barbara is the beloved ""Miss Wilson"" of a special education classroom.
