Overview

Rwanda in 1994 became a civil war-ravaged land besieged by tribal strife, routine murders, and blatant abuses of power. Twenty-two year old Brigitte Kitenge was a beautiful, highly-educated, happily married young mother with a successful career, a respected husband, and a peaceful, middle-class life.
