OverviewOrv Manke was born in Minnesota shortly after the Great Depression and was adopted at the age of six months. He lived with his foster parents until he joined the Navy Seabee Reserve at eighteen. He eventually was stationed in Guam which was the home base for rotation to Korea and the Far East, an area he would visit often as a business man. When Orv Manke was transferred to his company's International Division, his new position involved travel to various parts of the world. In the mid 1960s, he was transferred to Bangkok, Thailand, where he was, technically, responsible for all of the Far East and Southeast Asia. With the war ravaging in Vietnam, life's end was always one step away. In 1967, he met a lovely Thai woman in Bangkok, whom he later married. Follow his footsteps as he takes you on a journey you will not forget. Orv Manke is retired and lives in Las Vegas with his wife Lucksana. He enjoys playing golf with his friends.
