He has had a distinguished career in General Surgery and had a private practice of surgery for over 30 years. He has been chief of staff of his hospital and chief of surgery. He has been president of the Bay Surgical Society, president of his medical fraternity, and president of his medical school class. He has been on the faculty of three medical schools and is currently an Assistant Professor of Surgery at U.C.L.A.
