For the last twenty years he has taught physiology at all levels at Manchester Metropolitan University. His current research interests are linked to learning and teaching and the student experience. In particular, he is interested in the application of technology to student learning. Dr Gethin Evans graduated with a degree in Sport and Exercise Sciences, followed by a PhD investigating fluid balance at rest and following exercise. Subsequently appointed senior lecturer in physiology at Manchester Metropolitan University, his current research interests are the regulation of appetite and gastrointestinal motility as well as a general interest in obesity.
