Author Information

The Author: Dr. Heineman is Professor of English and Chair of the Department at Framingham State College and is a lecturer at the Radcliffe Seminars of Radcliffe College. She holds her Ph.D. from Cornell University and has received two Woodrow Wilson Fellowships, an A.A.U.W. National Fellowship, and was a fellow of the Bunting Institute. Her previous publications include Mrs. Trollope: The Triumphant Feminine in the Nineteenth Century, Frances Trollope, and Restless Angels: The Friendship of Six Victorian Women, and numerous articles in the field of Victorian Literature and Women's Studies.
