I'm so excited to announce the publication of my second children's book titled Three Cheeky Kookaburras. The story was inspired by the talented illustrator, Sam Flowers. It was a privilege to be asked to collaborate with Sam to create this book about the kookaburras that are regular visitors at Burrinja Park Cultural Centre, where Sam loves to picnic.It is a fun story highlighting the cheekiness of these Australian birds and is beautifully brought to life by Sam's colourful illustrations. We hope you enjoy the book and it brings some laughter and happiness to your day.I would like to thank my family for their ongoing support with my creative writing adventures! Thank you to Jules Morman, Millie Flowers, Gareth Hart and Burrinja Cultural Centre for providing dedicated and ongoing support to the community. Once again, thank you to Busybird Publishing for always making this process a smooth and enjoyable one. (My first children's book, titled Nana Chan, is a wonderful book for children to help them understand that it's normal behaviour for a person with dementia to become forgetful and confused.) My name is Sam Flowers. I love to illustrate and have been drawing since I was seven years old.I love to draw with pencil. I started drawing for myself, friends, and family, designing special occasion cards. I love to draw cars, animals, and characters.Recently, I was commissioned by Tasty Az Catering, who I have been working with since 2015, to draw fruit illustrations that will be used on jam, syrup, and relish labels.I hope to become a professional illustrator and for one of my drawings to be used in a comic or book.
