Author Information

Vietnam War veteran and team leader of a special ops unit--Lurps (LRRP), and 75th Army Rangers. Taught high school sciences and worked in home construction in Australia for nine years. Spent time in the Andes Mountains of Colombia, South America, part time over a recent ten year period. Enjoys windsurfing sports, and snowboarding, which he teaches at a ski resort in the U.P. of Michigan. This story developed as the result of the trust and friendship that developed between the author and a baby deer while living in a log cabin in the Northwoods of Wisconsin. A very artistic illustrator of many children's books who studied the classic artists of the past, including those who created works for Disney, while working on her bachelors degree in art. She is very knowledgeable and skilled when it comes to animal anatomy and the depicting of nature scenes.
