Mr. Jan Softa holds an M.A. in political science and has been working at the Swedish Institute of International Affairs for five years. His research is focused on how societies become affected by vulnerabilities in critical infrastructure, threats against information society, and how private/public partnership is a method of decreasing these vulnerabilities and threats. On these subjects Mr. Softa has written popular science papers and reports for Swedish governmental agencies. Other publications: Increased cooperation for the Swedish power network security and preparedness; IT & vulnerability. Critical dependencies in the national IT infrastructure; The threat of the millennium? The Y2k-bug on the agenda in Russia, Sweden and the U.S. etc.
