Author Information

Grant Heckman is a writing instructor and tutor at the University of New Brunswick - St. Johns Writing Centre. Grant is an accomplished musician. His theatrical scores include Margo Buttons The Unhinging of Wings, Michael OBrien's Mad Boy Chronicle, and Sir John, Eh?, which Grant co-authored with Jim Garrard and which was nominated for a Dora Award (best new musical) in 1999. Grant has also contributed music to many CBC radio dramas. His most recent CD is From Saints Rest. A veteran of the Applied Communications Department of Kwantlen Polytechnic University's School of Business, David Ingre has taught a variety of business, technical, and professional writing and communication courses in American and Canadian colleges, universities, and corporate training programs for more than 25 years. He has worked as a federal government civil servant, as an instructional designer, and as a teacher of English as a second language on two continents. Mr. Ingre owns a consulting service that focuses on curriculum development, the creation of promotional and marketing materials, and specialized correspondence. His business communications textbooks have been published in both the United States and Canada. With an academic background in Romance Linguistics, Mr. Ingre is fluent in French and Spanish.
