Knud Haakonssen is Emeritus Professor of Intellectual History at the University of Sussex and Visiting Professor at the Max Weber Center for Advanced Study, University of Erfurt. Paul Wood is a veteran of scholarship on the Scottish Enlightenment and has published particularly extensively on Reid.
