He is a member of Beta Phi Mu and has enjoyed a 55-year career as a theological librarian and professor of library science at institutions such as Trinity Evangelical Divinity School, Princeton Theological Seminary, Columbia Theological Seminary, and Southwestern Baptist Theological Seminary.
