Overview

Dear parent, apostle, prophet, evangelist, pastor, teacher, leader, volunteer, student, one who cares for children, one who loves Jesus, you are called to give children the Gospel of Jesus Christ. I pray that both you and the children you teach encounter Jesus Christ through this curriculum. I pray this is not merely knowledge gained, but hearts transformed. This curriculum is designed in such a way for you to take it and make it your own in a way that is best for the children you teach. I do not mean changing what the Holy Scripture says, but perhaps adding your own illustrations, games, crafts, songs, etc., in order for understanding to increase. For example, if you have a class of two and three year olds, I would suggest focusing on one scripture for multiple weeks, or adding songs and props for each memory verse. Each week/lesson in this curriculum is structured in a very intentional and specific way. Every lesson has eight elements. These elements are all related to the theme of the pillar for that week. Each lesson is intended to be able to be picked up and taught by anyone, even if you have never taught children before. The following elements are in every single lesson: Opening Game Opening Question Background Bible Story/Lesson Retelling the Story/Lesson Discover and Response Memory Verse Craft *Bible stories throughout this curriculum are combinations of the following translations of the Bible: New American Standard Bible 1995 (NASB 1995), New King James Version (NKJV), and International Children's Bible (ICB)
