Jacklyn is a strong woman and although she will never be able to forgive her son for having her committed to a psychiatric facility, she forges ahead with her life. To make her life even more challenging, a new neighbor moves into a house two doors down. She suspects that something is not quite right but she tries not to get involved. Jacklyn however is friends with Jenna who lives next door to the newbie with her husband Kirk. I found this book to be engaging and extremely difficult to put down. The characters come to life with Ms. Oram's descriptions and I found myself wondering how I would react to the different scenarios taking place. I highly recommend this book and the entire series, of 4 books. You will not be disappointed. Susan is one of my very favorite authors and I will read each and every book that she writes.""
