These are my songs

Overview

These Are My Songs is a hauntingly intimate collection that transforms the raw, poetic landscape of Space Between the Crescent Shadows into a musical ""rescue mission"" for the soul. Emerging from the genre of Mystic Folk, this book serves as both a songbook and a spiritual guide for the solo guitarist and singer-songwriter, reflecting Andrey Psyche's belief that art is a ""fundamental processing"" where the boundaries between painting, poetry, and music dissolve. This collection is the auditory evolution of Space Between the Crescent Shadows. Psyche utilizes the guitar as a ""sword"" to defend a ""mind sincere and kind,"" blending rhythmic percussive techniques with ethereal melodies to capture the ""somatic sensation"" of being truly alive. These Are My Songs is more than just a list of chord progressions; it is a ""treasure map"" for the creative spirit. By pairing each poem with its musical counterpart, Psyche demonstrates how to ""engrave the waves"" of time with sound, proving that ""all you need is a little color to bring back your intuition"". Whether you are ""sitting on a rock, listening to the water rush"" or performing under the ""shining lights of the sidewalks,"" this collection offers a path to find the ""happiness inside"" that requires neither fortune nor fame. It is a call to live a life where ""every heart beat is recorded"" as a work of art.

Author Information

Andrey Psyche, also known as Andrey Pavlenko, is a Russian-American scientist, artist, and philosopher whose work explores the boundaries between discipline and creative liberation. Born in Magnitogorsk, Russia, in 1991, his family migrated to the United States in 2002, an event he credits with providing him a new perspective and hidden opportunities.Initially, Psyche pursued a rigorous scientific path, earning a B.S. in Biology from the University of Washington and spending over a year working with a physician in preparation for medical school. However, after receiving multiple offers to become an MD, he made a life-altering choice to decline them and join his mother's custom manufacturing business. Applying the learning techniques he mastered in academia, he taught himself to program and run CNC machinery, an act that ""broke the seal"" on his long-bottled creative energy. His artistic journey began with modest engravings and evolved into a style of abstract painting defined by a ""complete loss of control"". This process mirrors his internal commitment to meditation, health, and deep inner work. Believing that ""Art is art, whether it's paint or music,"" Psyche eventually became his own muse and taught himself guitar and songwriting, attributing his rapid progress to the abstract principles he first learned through his paintings.
