Reviews

There's No Wrong Way to Pray passes the test on all counts for a superb children's book. I enthusiastically recommend it to anyone looking for an innovative way to teach a child to pray. --The Rev. Dr. Herbert W. Chilstrom For children who have never prayed and for those who do, this book opens God's world to all. --Dr. Norma Cook Everist, author of The Church as Learning Community How do you learn to pray? In a time when we need to pay attention to the basics, the authors provide a joyful, thoughtful journey into prayer, our first language of faith. Taking the perspective of a child, we discover how every moment in life is an opportunity to pray. The delightful story and lively illustrations will invite many caring conversations across the generations about the meaning of prayer. --Rev. Dr. Craig L. Nessan, Wartburg Theological Seminary There's no wrong way to read this book--if you're ten or if you're eighty, if you're reading it on your own or to someone else. A perfect prayer primer, for those just starting, or those who have been at it forever. Read this book. Then talk to God. --John Robert McFarland, Methodist pastor and author of The Strange Calling and Now That I Have Cancer, I am Whole. Rebecca and Kate's book is a beautiful guide for teaching kids that prayer doesn't have to be perfect, and that it can be a natural part of our everyday. I love how it makes connecting with God feel so approachable. I can't wait to share their message with my children and community. --Kara Anderson, karasanderson.com/thehomeschoolsisters.com

Author Information

Rebecca Ninke is a Lutheran pastor who inadvertently fell into a compound career as a writer and author, specializing in creating curricula resources, despite graduating college with a degree Political Science with hopes of going to law school. She obtained her Masters of Divinity from Wartburg Theological Seminary and has worked at churches in Colorado, Arizona, and Wisconsin. She's married to Dave and is the proud mom of Reid and Kate. Liam Darcy is an illustrator from London, England. After graduating with a degree in Graphic Design from Ravensbourne College he moved into the realm of children's book illustration and now spends his time creating artwork to engage and excite young minds. Kate E.H. Watson is ten years old and lives with her parents, big brother Reid, and lots of animals outside of Madison, Wisconsin. She loves reading, climbing trees, sports, singing, and riding horses with dreams of being a veterinarian someday. This is her first book and she has yet to realize how big of a deal it is to be published at age ten.
