She grew up loving books and spending time at her local library. She worked as an elementary school librarian and later graduated from Indiana University. Jayne enjoyed teaching fifth-graders in Franklin, Indiana, and sharing her love of books and reading with her students. Jayne is also the author of a literature unit (Teacher Created Resources) on The Whipping Boy, a novel by Sid Fleischman. Writing poetry and spending time in nature are two of her favorite pastimes.
