Author Information

Kate Jordan is a mom and children's book author dedicated to helping children become curious about the world around them. She has a bachelor's degree in biology from Brigham Young University, where she took an entomology course that sparked her interest in the fascinating world of insects! After graduating, Kate worked as a middle school science tutor, where she honed her ability to communicate scientific concepts to young learners in an engaging, understandable way. Kate's passion for science and learning and desire for children to develop a love for the natural world led her to write her first book, There Once Was a Bug... Ashley Warner is an artist with a bachelor's degree in animation from Brigham Young University. She has been drawing since she was ten, and intends to keep drawing for many more years to come. While she has no particular affinity for spiders, Ashley does enjoy fireflies and bees! She hopes to inspire and create wonder in her artwork and this book is no exception!
