Open Science is a big part of her professional work as an academic librarian. She is very dedicated in everything she does, and thrives on sharing knowledge, organizing events and learning new skills, including setting focus on developing data science competencies for librarians and information specialists, most recently as a co-organiser of DST4L2016 (www.dst4l.info) and a co-founder of a new Data Science network in Denmark for Librarians and others working with and interested in developing Data Savvy skills. Lorna Wildgaard is an Assistant Professor at the Royal School of Library and Information Science, Copenhagen, Denmark with an academic background in librarianship. She obtained her Ph.D. in bibliometrics in 2015. Her Ph.D. thesis is on the extent author-level bibliometric indicators are appropriate measures of individual researcher performance. Her research areas are: bibliometrics and research evaluation, medical informatics, research methods, information seeking, communication of information through visual media and most recently the potentials of eyetracking in understanding the communication of information. All areas are strongly influenced by her skills in visual interpretation and presentation of research, a trait from her previous career in Fashion. She is passionate about teaching and dedicated to promoting data science competencies for future librarians and information specialists, most recently as a co-organiser of DST4L2016 (www.dst4l.info) and also a co-founder of a new Data Science network in Denmark for Librarians and others working with and interested in developing Data Savvy skills.
