Author Information

Dieter Etling, Jahrgang 1944, studierte Meteorologie und Physik an den Universitäten Frankfurt, Marburg und der TH Darmstadt. Nach seiner Promotion im Jahr 1976 war er als Postdoktorand beim IBM Research Center in San Jose, USA. Nach Tätigkeiten als wissenschaftlicher Mitarbeiter an der TH Darmstadt ist er seit 1979 Professor für Theoretische Meteorologie an der Leibniz Universität Hannover. Seine Arbeitsschwerpunkte umfassen die atmosphärische Grenzschicht, Wellen und Instabilitäten sowie die Wirbeldynamik.
