She holds a PhD in human services from Capella University. Dr. Abdullah has over 20 years of combined practical experience as a human services professional from positions held in academia, telecommunications, health care, and health insurance. In addition, she serves on the board as the State Representative at Large for Virginia with the Southern Organization for Human Services, is the President of the International PhD Sisters Association (IPSA), and is the founder of the PhD Sisters Support Group on Facebook as well as the Pi Eta Delta Sorority. She also assists Custodians of Faith, a nonprofit 501(c)(3), with program initiatives, marketing, branding, and volunteering.
