Overview

People need security, and they get it by organizing governments. At times they look more for economic security and at other times they look more for physical security. Either way, the government develops its power by the people surrendering some of their individual liberty that everyone needs and loves. In America, we have always had two groups competing to make one form of security the priority over the other and the ascendency of either always collects us and erodes our liberty. So, our freedom has seen a gradual decline since our founding. In recent decades the power grabbers have used a postmodern lens to encourage us to turn our back on the Age of Reason and to betray the gift of our founders which was Individualism that begat Federalism and self-restrained government. As our government shows less and less self-restraint, our freedom and liberty are trampled faster and faster. This book recommends a renewed middle path forward that is not on the left or right. It is a peaceful path. It will allow enough public power to provide the economic and physical security that we need without sacrificing our individualism and our liberty.
