Author Information

Scott Shaw is a prolific author and filmmaker. He is recognized as one of the preeminent Martial Art Masters of the Western World and is a leading proponent of modern Zen. During his youth he became deeply involved with Eastern Meditative Thought. This guided him to Asia where he has been initiated into Buddhist, Hindu, and Sufi sects. Today, Shaw frequently returns to Asia, documenting obscure aspects of Asian culture in words and on film. He is a frequently featured contributor to Martial and Meditative Art Journals and is the author of numerous books on Zen Buddhism, the Martial Arts, Yoga, Meditation, Social Science, Poetry, and Literature.
