OverviewRaphael, a zebra living in the plains of the Serengeti in Africa, has been struggling to love his stripes. When Raphael visits the forest at the edge of the plains with his family, he sees a world full of vibrant colors. The animals were a stark contrast to his black and white color. The wonderful colors of the lovebirds, the majestic, feathered heads of the crowned cranes, and so much more! He could not get the wonderful colors out of his mind, and after he returned home, he dreamt of the vivid colors of magenta, bright greens, teal blues, and ravishing reds! Raphael decided he needed to go back to the forest to find a radiant monkey named Federico that he had met during his first trip there. When he arrives, he and Federico set out to bring Raphael's colorful dreams to life, where they encounter various adventures and lessons on the way. Through his adventures with Federico, Raphael learns to love his black and white stripes. He learns that his stripes are what make him unique among the vibrant colors of the world. Table of ContentsReviewsAuthor InformationMegan Kat is the mom of two creative young boys who absolutely love to hear her stories. When her youngest son was born, her mother painted six animal portraits on the wall above his crib, one of them being a zebra. Megan would often tell her boys stories about the animals, which is where the story of Rafael the zebra and his creative friend Frederico came to life. ""The Zebra's Stripes"" is her debut book. Megan was born and raised in the Republic of Panama, where she had the privilege of being surrounded by a melting pot of cultures and inspiring biodiversity. Her father was a ship captain and a Panama Canal pilot; he would drive ships through the Panama Canal while passing down the art of storytelling to Megan. Megan and her husband, Sean, and their two children, Conor and Ian, live in Tampa, Florida, where they enjoy fishing and going on adventures. Living in Panama for 35 years with her family inspired Marsha's sense of color and design. Whether venturing into the jungles or exploring the coasts, she painted the mountains, the forests, the Islands, and the flora and fauna of Panama, and it was divine. Using her art education degree, Marsha gave art instruction to both children and adults using her own art program. She also organized many juried art shows, led art gallery tours, and encouraged many Panamanian artists to participate in these shows and sell their work. Marsha and her husband Don retired to Oregon where she painted her beloved Oregon coast for a decade. At present they reside in Tampa, Florida, where Marsha continues to teach art to her four grandchildren, living near her two daughters and their families. Illustrating children's books is a new joy she has found. Tab Content 6Author Website:Countries AvailableAll regions |
