Reviews

This book is jam packed with everything you need to know about autism and autistic burnout. Viv writes it for autistic young people, but also Viv's deep lived experience insight will benefit parents and professionals too. The autistic characters and scenarios in this book are so relatable, that I challenge any neurodivergent individual of any age, to not find themselves nodding along at some point! All written in Viv's sensitive and neuro-affirming way. Finally, this book talks about recovery and hope - and us families who have experienced autistic burnout, know how needed this is. -- Dr Joanne Riordan, Neurodivergent Educational & Child Psychologist (Neurodivergence specialist) The incredibly important topic of neurodiversity and burnout has been growing in terms of recognition and understanding in recent years. Viv and Josh have created a brilliant resource for young people which is both engaging, enlightening and practical to use. I am sure that so many young people will benefit from this book and will be able to recognise the signs of burnout and how to advocate for themselves better as a result. ""Autistic Burnout for Young People"" should become an essential resource for schools and mental health professionals who work with neurodivergent teens. -- Laura Kerbey, Autism and education consultant and author of ‘The Teens Guide To PDA’
