A trusted author friend told me that what you are about to read is satirical, funny, witty, beautiful, sharp, clever, and a rollicking romp. I'm not sure romp is the right word, so I've booked you a ticket aboard a train waiting to cross Canada and a passenger seat in a dodgy old motor on the road to Alaska so you can find out for yourself. The journal that kicked off the tale that led to the completion of the manuscript that led to this book was written in 1998 when passengers socialised on trains, buses and planes. Maybe it should be categorised under Historical Romances or Ancient Civilisations, but once you get into the swing of things you should be alright.
