The Yellow House Foundations: An Autobiography of Hope

Overview

What happens when a childhood marked by pain refuses to let go-and faith refuses to let fail? In The Yellow House: Foundations, Ronald Lee Sparks opens the door to a life shaped by family fracture, emotional wounds, and the search for meaning. Growing up in South Central Ohio, Sparks navigates loss, anger, and choices that pull him toward darkness while quietly setting the stage for something greater. This first book in a three-part autobiographical series traces formative years with unflinching honesty, revealing how hardship, missteps, and broken relationships still carried the seeds of purpose. Each memory, whether tender or devastating, points toward a larger story unfolding beyond immediate understanding. Readers will: Witness a raw coming-of-age marked by struggle and survival Explore how faith emerges slowly through pain rather than comfort Discover hope rooted in perseverance, not perfection Open these pages and step into The Yellow House, where beginnings matter and redemption starts long before it shows its face.

Author Information

Ronald Lee Sparks was born in Circleville, Ohio, and raised in Chillicothe, Ohio. He currently resides in Colorado. The Yellow House series is an autobiography of his most influential life experiences that helped shape and define who he is today. The Yellow House: Foundations, or book one of Sparks's three-book series, shares stories of growing up in South Central Ohio and experiencing incredibly personal and family-related struggle and pain. It resulted in him becoming a lost and deeply troubled teen who ventured into deep, dark waters, seemingly to the point of no return, before eventually finding an escape path. The stories and events he shares, some significant and some less so by worldly standards, along with real people, made up of family, friends, and adversaries, are believed to have been placed in his path as part of God's plan. He admits it's hard to see the plan in book one, and most of the stories and events were likely not God's will, but they were still part of a plan for eventual good and prosperity in Sparks's life.
