Overview

This is the third book in a series of short one-to three-minute exercises for young actors. The first volume, ""Your Dog Ate My Shoe"", published in October 2023, contained one hundred eleven scenes. The second book ""I Am Not Irish Enough"" published in June 2024 contained one hundred twelve scenes. This third volume contains one hundred and one scenes. Each scene is provided with a b-code that describes for what age range and gender identification it is suitable to be performed. Scenes were constructed so that it would be easy for the young actor to perform them with their acting coach, parent or colleague. All scenes are formatted according to the standard script formatting guidelines and are ready to be copied and handed over to other actors if required for reading. For environmental reasons, both sides of the page are used. The book is intentionally printed on non-glossy paper and is meant to be scribbled on. Please make it your own, take it with you to your acting lesson, and put your thoughts and findings in pencil or ink or use a highlighter to mark who you're reading for. Please note that this book is published not for profit but for practical reasons, as it is easier to have scenes in this form. At the time of publishing (August 2025), all scenes in this book can be downloaded for free from the official website https: //www.bcacting.com, where they were originally published between June 2024 and July 2025. The title of this book, ""The Wrong Movie"", is a citation from one of the scenes from this collection. The subtitle ""Etudes For Young Actors Op. 3"" is inspired by music books, étude in French means an exercise, and opus is a collection of works.
