Nigel Cawthorne studied at University College, London, where he gained an Honours degree in Physics, before turning to writing as a career. He has written, contributed to and edited more than 100 books, including Fighting Them On The Beaches: D-Day, 6 June 1944, The Battle of Britain, Vietnam: A War Lost and Won, Stalin, and The Story of the SS. His work has also appeared in over a hundred and fifty newspapers, magazines and partworks on both sides of the Atlantic - from the Sun to the Financial Times. Richard Dargie was Senior Lecturer in History and Head of the Faculty of Humanities at Moray House in Edinburgh. Latterly, he lectured in History Education at the University of Edinburgh.Over the past three decades, he has been a historical consultant for the BBC, the Council of Europe in Strasbourg, and Euroclio, the international history organization based in The Hague. Author of more than 40 books, Richard has also written a large number of television and radio programmes for the BBC and other broadcasters in Britain and North America. Al Cimino is the author of over 100 books. His other historical titles include: The Bamboo Cage, The Empress of South America, Daughter of Heaven, World at War, Victory in World War II, Vietnam, a War Lost and Won, History's Greatest Battles, Julius Caesar, Alexander the Great, and Sex Lives of the Great Dictators.
