In a world where day and night are regulated by an artificial sun, M1DC is one worker among thousands, condemned to the mechanics of daily life and the cult of an immaculate past. For four hundred and fifty-six years, humanity has survived obediently under the Dome, lulled by promises of Peace and Equality bequeathed by the Grand Master Furmundos. But M1DC is not like the others. He secretly reads stolen books. He asks forbidden questions: Who truly won the Great War? What do the ""angels""-those guardians in white robes-hide?
