C P Chandrasekhar is Associate Professor at the Centre for Economic Studies at Jawaharlal Nehru University in India. Barend de Vries is retired from the World Bank where he worked from 1956 to 1984 as an economist and chief of division in Latin America. Eddie Webster is Professor and Head of departmenrt of Sociology at the University of Witswatersrand South Africa. Jacklyn Cock is Professor of Sociology also at the University of Witswatersrand. Author Information

Jo Marie Griesgraber is the Executive Director of the New Rules for Global Finance Coalition, a Washington-based international network of activists and researchers concerned with reforms of the international financial architecture. Previously, Dr. Griesgraber was Director of Policy at Oxfam America where she supervised advocacy programs on international trade, humanitarian response, global funding for basic education and extractive industries. Dr. Gunter is an international scholar in development economics. His areas of expertise include development macroeconomics, debt sustainability analysis, and the social impact of globalization. He is also interested in analyzing poverty reduction policies, macroeconomic development strategies, and the economic challenges of climate change.
