OverviewThe Woodpecker's Headache is a bilingual, English-Spanish, illustrated children's book. The story is about Mr. and Mrs. Woodpecker who are getting ready to start a family in the tropical country of Panama. Mr. Woodpecker sets off to find the rigth tree for a nest. One tree in particular tree gives him much trouble and he gets a terrible headache from trying to dig out the nest. Mrs. Woodpecker helps him recover and once he feels better, Mr. Woodpecker sets out again as he's determined to find the perfect tree. He finds it and makes the nest. Mr. and Mrs. Woodpecker are very happy and start their family. The book contains information about the woodpecker featured in the story and its habitat. Raul flies airplanes and also helps to build and repair them. He is a tour guide at the Smithsonian's National Air and Space Museum in Washington, DC where he enjoys telling stories about aviation and space. Raul's hobbies include reading, exercising, and swimming. The Woodpecker's Headache is Raul's second book and he previously published Raul and the Iguana. Nicole Araica was born and lives in Panama. She is a graphic designer specializing in digital illustration. Since 2019, she has been dedicated to the art of tattooing, where she has found a powerful form of creative expression. She is the mother of an 11-year-old girl, who is her greatest inspiration. In her free time, she enjoys playing flag football and spending time with her family and friends. This is her first experience illustrating a book, a project she takes on with enthusiasm and gratitude. She hopes it will be the beginningof many other creative paths to explore. Enrique de la Espriella is an award-winning creative leader, designer, and author whose career has been shaped by imagination, resilience, and storytelling.
