Author Information

Paul Smith is a Canadian author currently based in Newfoundland and Labrador. Born and raised in British Columbia, he earned a Bachelor of Science in Nursing from Vancouver Island University. He spent his nursing career in a single nurse intensive care unit in a rural, remote Arctic community in British Columbia, where he found deep fulfilment in providing critical care. After developing PTSD, Paul made the difficult decision to retire early from nursing. He discovered writing as a therapeutic outlet and now writes daily as a means of healing and self-expression.
