My career took me from Keogh Barracks, Aldershot, the Cambridge Military Hospital, Aldershot, BMH Iserlohn in Germany to King Edward Memorial Hospital in Port Stanley, as well as three operational tours in Bosnia (Op Grapple 5) and Iraq (Op Telic 1 and 6). After leaving military service, continued working as a Biomedical Scientist for the Scottish National Blood Transfusion Service since 2000, where I am now a Senior Biomedical Scientist (Compliance Officer). On the 21st April 2006, my unit 205 Field Hospital (V) were fortunate enough to win the Daily Record Our Heroes Award - Forces, for the our work in Iraq during Op Telic 6.
