Author Information

Filipe Ribeiro de Meneses is Professor of History at Maynooth University, Ireland. He is the author, among other works, of Portugal 1914-1926: From the First World War to Military Dictatorship (2004), Salazar: A Political Biography (2009) and Afonso Costa: Portugal (2010). Robert McNamara is Senior Lecturer in History at the University of Ulster, UK. He is the author of Britain, Nasser and the Balance of Power in the Middle East (2003), The Hashemites: The Dream of Arabia, and as editor, The Churchills in Ireland (2010).
