My name is Nicole Drinkwater, and my family and I live in the smallest city in Canada: Greenwood, B.C. I feel this story is very important and relevant to many parents and children going through the motions of anxiety and change. The What-If Kid: First Day of School is based solely on our son Kale and his own anxiety and thinking when it comes to anything new. He is an amazing young man who surprises me daily with his kind nature and resilience.I love writing, and hopefully will continue to write about The What-If Kid and see what new questions and new adventures come next for Kale.
