She writes speculative and place-based fiction, essays, and poetry and has a professional background in writing for nonprofits, government, and tech organizations. Lauren holds an MFA in creative writing from American University and a print and multimedia journalism degree from Emerson College. Lauren lives in San Francisco and co-hosts Babylon Salon, one of the Bay Area's longest-running literary and performance series.
