Overview

Seven out of ten Americans have less than $1,000 in savings. Over 80% of the crimes committed that lead people to prison are related to money. I decided to be proactive and develop a program that would introduce children to the world's economic process. This program is called The Wealthy Child. The foundation of this program is built on seven pillars: generating income, budgeting, banking, establishing credit, making purchases (assets), investing, and giving back. If children learn the lessons in The Wealthy Child book early on, we can greatly increase financial literacy and decrease prison sentencing amongst youth and adults.
