The Warrior Women of Television examines contemporary representations of the female action hero in three series: La Femme Nikita, Aeon Flux, and Buffy the Vampire Slayer. The Author: Dawn Heinecken is Assistant Professor of Women's Studies at the University of Louisville, Kentucky. She received her Ph.D. in American culture studies from Bowling Green State University, Ohio, and co-authored Measuring Up: How Advertising Affects Self-Image with Vickie Rutledge Shields.
