Overview

The wallowing hour is a soulful, artistic collection of poetry that touches on the loneliest as well as the most romanticized parts of life. It lets you in on a sneak peak of the author's deepest, darkest thoughts as well as the dreams she holds for the future. From the loss of a parent at an early age, to the mishaps of misguided relationships, to combatting loneliness, it's all there. Using a pen and a notebook to jot down all of her thoughts and emotions that she's had the pleasure of feeling over the past years, 'The Wallowing Hour' was born. It's purpose is to hopefully help those out there struggling through similar situations, who might find it difficult to put into words, Katrina hopes to use this book as a voice of those in need.

Author Information

When she was a baby, her mother told her father how she couldn't wait to hear what she would have to say. 23 years later, she took those words, wrote them down and turned them into 'The Wallowing Hour'. Katrina went to school to pursue her other passions of the culinary arts and business, acquiring a trades diploma in Culinary Management, and an Honours Bachelors Degree in Commerce. While building her career in the hospitality industry and moving from life stage to life stage, she never forgot her passion for writing and often turned to it as a coping mechanism and a source of comfort. During some time off during the unforeseen worldwide Covid-19 pandemic, Katrina sat down and made her childhood dream of publishing a book a reality.
