Overview

My name is Stephanie Ann Walker. I was born Steven Allan Walker many years ago to a world that I never really fit into. I was lucky enough throughout my life to have great parents, a good job, a loving sister, and later on a wonderful wife and son. I wouldn't change any of these for the world. However the one thing that was wrong with this ideal life was me. I didn't realize the problem until late in life and there lies the tale, so to speak. My life was filled but empty. For everything I had I missed the one thing that I needed and that was connectivity with my inner being and my outer shell. This story is that connection. I thought for many months after the final surgeries and decisions on how to present this. As an academician I am well versed in theses, dissertations, journal articles, etc. But this is more than an academic paper to be given at a conference. This is a real life story of a woman who finally knew who she was and what it took to unleash that person. This story may be yours or it may not be. In the end the only one who matters is the one who is telling it. Therefore this story is mine. If you can see similarities then please by all means take them with you.
